Choosing a Certified Doula means investing in expert support for your pregnancy, labor and postpartum journey.
If you need a doula, you're in the right place. I’m supportive, patient, a good listener, and will be your biggest encourager. I will also advocate for you.
"From womb to mom" refers to the physical and biological transition of a fetus from the uterus (womb) to the mother's arms, marking the completion of pregnancy and the beginning of a new chapter in the mother-child relationship.
What is a doula?
A doula is a Greek word meaning” a woman who serves”. A doula is a trained professional who gives emotional, physical and educational support before, during, and after childbirth.
Doulas are not medical professionals and do not perform clinical tasks, diagnose medical conditions, or give medical advice.
Research represented in Mothering the Mother: How a Doula Can Help You Have a Shorter, Easier and Healthier Birth, by Marshall H. Klaus, John H. Kennell, and Phyllis H. Klaus (1993), demonstrates that having a doula present at a birth results in the following benefits:
50% reduction in the cesarean rate
25% shorter labor
60% reduction in epidural requests
40% reduction in oxytocin use
30% reduction in analgesia use
40% reduction in forceps delivery

Hi, I’m Sabrina. A passionate Birth and Postpartum Doula.
I am the wife of 30 plus years of a retired Air Force veteran and a mother of three serving the Hampton Roads Peninsula area in Virginia.
I am a Christian who loves reading the Bible, gardening and cooking wholesome meals and desserts.
I love to serve and educate women during their journey into motherhood.
I first heard the term doula 6 years ago. As I did my research on what a doula is, I knew this was what I was called to do in life. In 2020 I received postpartum training through Dona International. I later went on in 2025 to get certified in both Birth and Postpartum through Madriella Certified Doula Network.
My first baby was born at 29 weeks due to me having Preeclampsia. When he came home, I was anxious about his nutrition, therefore I gave up on breast feeding. Having a doula supporting me would have helped me continue breast feeding and I would not have given up so easily. The extra help and encouragement would have made such a big difference in my postpartum experience.
